How I Got Distribution

What is the point of making a film if no one sees it? Exactly! Which is why getting distribution is the filmmaking frosting on the cake. WMFVA has assembled a diverse panel of filmmakers who all have one thing in common: Their projects got distribution. Angela Peavey has worked across a range of arts and entertainment clients for over 20 years and is one of West Michigan's most sought after performing arts coach. Angela is a SAG actress and in the last few years has directed programming on ABC & HBO Networks. Her most recent film, Our Beautiful Secret, which she directed and executive produced, has received seven awards to date and has had sold-out U.S and International Premieres. This April will mark the film's Canadian premiere. 

After a year in Los Angeles working as a grip, stagehand, and production assistant, Chris Randall moved back to Michigan and began Fulvew Productions with Keith Golinski in 2001. Since Fulvew has produced television shows, commercials, web videos, music videos, and short films. Their first feature film, Americas Most Haunted, currently has North American distribution through Echo Bridge Entertainment.  It also has international distribution in the Philippines and is currently being shopped at the European Film Market in Berlin

John Grooters is an award-winning writer, producer, director, and musician. He has won more than 35 national awards for film and video production excellence. He wrote and directed the feature film The Frontier Boys, which was named Best Picture of 2011 by the International Christian Visual Media Conference, and won Best Picture awards at numerous film Festivals.  His work has appeared on PBS, The Hallmark channel, WGN America, TLN, TBN, and more.  His short film, Men in White, has been viewed by more than 2 million visitors to the Creation Museum
